How do companies come up with their names? I’d like to think there’s a grand scheme behind the picking and choosing and the decisions behind what a brand will choose as the only-thing-they’ve-got: their name. But sometimes that might not be the case, it could be a swift kick decision, it could be random, and so I’m wondering how this clothing company came to their name. . . Orion.
They hail from over seas in London, but that still doesn’t offer up any clues as to why they’d choose the coolest constellation in the sky to brand name their clothing line. I guess the only way we’ll ever find out is to call up the company and hunt it down, but that can be saved for another blog post.
What we do need to talk about is the loverly dresses we got in from the English company:

The “Maya” dress shows off perfectly what Orion does best: eye-catching designs/patterns.

We’re selling it for $140 which can seem steep, but really for a dress that can be worn now in the heat (it’s not sticky cotton) and in the winter with some black tights and boots, I think it’s worth it for a dress that floats between seasons with such ease.

And this same eye-popping bright dress is called the “Fiona” and goes for exactly the same amount of $140. Look how cute the gladiator sandals go with this one!

A little bit hippie, maybe a little bit artsy, the dress is a walking color palette for the eyes. Love the quirky floral and stripe combo that’s goin’ on with this one.
Stop by to pick up an Orion dress in your size, we’ve got only a few in each. They’ll probably be gone, just as fast a shooting star. . .
