You don’t see much roadkill in this city, but I’ve seen my fair share coming from the Midwest. But who would have thought that it would have made it to accessories and handmade silver jewelry? Well, it has.
Elaine Ho from Montreal has her own line called Roadkill. She crafts every design herself (each piece takes a week to make!), and sells her line on Etsy. We love the quirkiness behind the designs, the detail in the silver, and conversations that can be started from wearing one of her pieces (Is that an octopus tentacle? Why, yes, it is.) Check out some of the items below that we have in the store. But this is only half of what we got, so you’ll have to stop in to see the rest. And if you’re looking for some extra time filler on the www, then check out her blog–it’s hilarious (see the bacon bra & the all-in-one mouse trap, buffet, and coffin). Honestly, roadkill never looked so pretty and appealing. . .

The skinny octopus tentacle pendant is $140, but is my personal favorite (possibly because of my Little Mermaid obsession from childhood. . .)

The skull pendant is only $38, and not a deadly price at all.

The mounted deer head stud earring are $80, but silver taxidermy is worth this price.

A simple, yet geometric shape of these studs will go with any other accessories you decide to pair them with. $80 for the pair.

This girly girl option of the mini bow pendant is $110.

For all those mix tape lovers out there, wear this one around your neck for $80, and hum the tunes you remember from the last one you made.

Last but not least, the half antler pendant is “spikey” (as the designer notes) and lays nicely for $110.
Tell us! What Roadkill piece could you see yourself wearing the most?
